Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Baton Rouge eighth-graders began a corporal work of mercy during Catholic Schools Week. Students are making super hero capes for chronically ill children to wear to treatments and doctor visits or just to celebrate their strength. The project was inspired by Pope Francis’ call for the Jubilee Year of Mercy.  The students are completing the work in their eighth-grade religion class with teacher Beth Jones.
