On July 17, 2016 our family was forever changed. We lost our beloved son, Brad. Our hearts are so broken and the hurt is so deep, but we are so proud of our son. On behalf of our daughter-in- law Tonja, the children, Brad’s brothers – Brian and family, and John Brett and family, we would like to say thank you for the love and kindness, prayers, cards and the support that we have gotten, even from total strangers telling us our son is a hero. It is so overwhelming to us.

Father Tom Ranzino, we will never be able to thank you enough for the beautiful funeral Mass for our son. Your homily was so special to us. We also want to thank Bishop Robert W. Muench, Father Gerald Burns, Father Donald Blanchard, Father Randy Cuevas, Deacon Brent Duplessis and Deacon Dan Borné. Also, a special thank you to everyone who had a part in the Mass for Brad. Johnny and I appreciate your time, kindness and love.

In closing we want to thank our church family here at St. Jean Vianney for your love, prayers and support. With our faith and God carrying us, we will get through this difficult time.

Our sincerest appreciation,

Johnny & Emily Garafola

On behalf of our son,

Deputy Brad Garafola, East Baton Rough Parish Sheriff’s Office
